Dr Gary Welch, DPT
Dr. Gary Welch DPT, CFCE, CFMT, CKTP, COMT.
Doctor Welch is a certified functional capacity evaluator, functional manual therapist, kinesio taping practitioner and certified orthopedic manual therapist.
He is clinically trained and has been practicing for twenty years in manual therapy where he can mobilize and manipulate the joints throughout the spine and peripheral joints. He is an adjunct professor at both Stony Brook and Touro College teaching advanced orthopedics of the spine and pelvis.
Dr. Gary Welch graduated from State University of New York at Stony Brook with his Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, in 2000. He went on to get his doctorate degree in physical therapy at Stony Brook, graduating in 2006.
Dr. Welch teaches the transitional doctorate physical therapy students the history of manual therapy, theory behind the skill, contraindications, precautions, and hands on manual and manipulative therapy skills.
